# LGBTQって何？どんな人？

今回はなんだかんだ一番相談の多いLGBTQについて、まだまだ日本国内では理解が得られにくいことかと思いますので、そもそものところから紹介させていただきます。

## 性別とは

そもそも性別って何でしょうか？多くの人は「男性」「女性」と二つのカテゴリーを思い浮かべるでしょう。しかし、性別はそれだけではありません。性別は、生物学的な性（Sex）と、自己認識としての性（Gender Identity）に分けられます。

### 定義

- **男性（Male）**: 一般的には生物学的に男性器を持ち、男性ホルモンが多い人々。
- **女性（Female）**: 一般的には生物学的に女性器を持ち、女性ホルモンが多い人々。
- **ノンバイナリー（Non-binary）**: 男性でも女性でもない、またはその両方の性を持つ人々。性別を一つの枠に収めたくないと感じる人々。
- **ジェンダーフルイド（Gender-fluid）**: 性別が固定されず、時間や状況により変動する人々。

世界でも、パキスタンが一番初めですが、オーストラリアやカナダ、ニュージーランドなどでは、これらの多様な性別が認識され、パスポートや免許証などの情報でも「X」を選択できるようになっており、尊重されてきています。  
 

## ではLGBTQって？

性別がわかったところで、次はLGBTQについてです。

LGBTQは、性自認や性的指向の多様性を表す頭文字で、それぞれの詳細は以下の通りです。

- **L｜レズビアン（Lesbian）**: 女性同性愛者
- **G｜ゲイ（Gay）**: 男性同性愛者
- **B｜バイセクシャル（Bisexual）**: 両性愛者
- **T｜トランスジェンダー（Transgender）**: 性別移行者（生まれつきの性と異なる性を認識する人）
- **Q｜クィア／クエスチョニング（Queer／Questioning）**: 既存の性別や性的指向に収まらない人／自身の性別や性的指向を探求中の人

LGBTQは、性自認（自分が認識する性別）と恋愛対象（誰に対して恋愛感情を抱くか）の組み合わせで成り立っています。例えば、トランスジェンダーである人が異性愛者であったり、クィアである人がバイセクシュアルであることもあります。

## 個性を大事に

最後に、、、性別やLGBTQなど人を区別するための言葉が世の中にたくさん存在していますが、要は性別で区分したりせず、人の個性を尊重することが大切です。  
性別や性的指向で人を判断するのではなく、その人の個性や人間性で評価し、お付き合いすることが重要です。

周りにLGBTQの方がいたとしたら、個人としての理解を深めることで、多様性を尊重し、誰もが生きやすい社会を作る一歩になります。性別に囚われず、個々の個性を大事にすることで、全ての人が尊重される社会を目指しましょう。
